How TheraMind Connect works

We are a directory, not a clinic. We make it easier to find and compare licensed professionals — the care relationship is always directly between you and them.

Which type of professional do I need?

Licensed therapists & counselors (LPC, LMFT, LCSW)

Talk therapy for anxiety, depression, relationships, grief, and life transitions. Cannot prescribe medication.

Psychologists (PhD, PsyD)

Therapy plus formal psychological testing and assessment. In most states they do not prescribe.

Psychiatrists & psychiatric nurse practitioners (MD, DO, PMHNP)

Medical clinicians who can diagnose and prescribe medication, and often provide medication management.

What "verified" means

Verified professionals submitted license details and supporting documents that our team reviewed against state licensing information. Documents stay private. Verification is a point-in-time check — always confirm current licensure yourself before starting care.

Insurance and cost

Profiles list self-pay rates, sliding-scale availability, and accepted insurance plans as reported by the professional. Coverage changes often, so confirm with both the office and your insurer before your first session.

Sending a request

Appointment requests are short: your name, how to reach you, preferred format, and a sentence about what you're looking for. Please don't include detailed medical history. The professional replies to you directly to confirm fit and scheduling.

Your privacy

Only the professional you contact and our administrators can see your request. Saved providers and questionnaire answers are visible only to you. We do not sell your data, and we ask for the minimum information needed to make an introduction.

If you need help right now

TheraMind Connect helps you find and contact mental health professionals. It is not a crisis line, an emergency service, or a substitute for urgent medical care. If you or someone else may be in danger, please use one of these resources instead.
