Our approach
Mental health information is among the most sensitive information there is. We collect the minimum needed to operate the directory, and we do not ask you to describe a condition or diagnosis in order to create an account.
Information we collect
From people seeking care: an email address if you create an optional account, saved providers, search preferences, and the contents of appointment requests you choose to send.
From professionals: profile information intended for public display, plus private account and credential information used for verification.
Technical information such as device and usage data needed to operate and secure the service.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not share appointment requests with anyone other than the professional you selected. We do not publish credential documents — those are stored privately and are visible only to the submitting professional and authorized reviewers.
Access controls
Accounts are role-based: people seeking care, professionals, and administrators each see only what their role requires. Database access is enforced with row-level security so records are readable only by their owner or an authorized reviewer.
Compliance posture
We apply privacy-first engineering practices. TheraMind Connect does not claim HIPAA compliance, and the platform is not a covered entity or business associate for the care you receive. The architecture is built so stronger healthcare privacy requirements can be adopted as the platform evolves.
Your choices
You can delete saved providers, withdraw an appointment request, or ask us to delete your account by contacting privacy@theramindconnect.com.
Cookies
We use cookies and local storage for sign-in sessions and basic product analytics. We do not use them to build advertising profiles about mental health interests.
